Spades — How to play and useful tips
Partner with the CPU across the table, bid your tricks and play with spades as trumps. Fulfill your contract or attempt Nil.
Controls
- Deal 13 cards to each of four players. Opposite seats are partners. Choose your opening seat order and CPU strength, then start. Choose your bid and press Confirm bid. Zero means Nil: take no tricks.
- A trick consists of one card from each player. Follow the first card’s suit if possible; otherwise play any card. Select a card and press Play selected card. Aces are high and twos low.
Playing tips
- Spades are always trumps. The highest spade wins, or the highest card of the led suit if no spade is played. The winner leads next. Spades cannot lead until played on another suit, unless your hand contains only spades.
