Checkers — How to play and useful tips
Move diagonally, jump opposing pieces and plan a chain of captures. Play against three CPU levels.
Controls
- Use the dark squares of an 8×8 board. Black moves first. Men move one diagonal square forward; kings move one diagonal square in either direction.
- Captures are compulsory. Jump an adjacent opponent into an empty square and continue while another jump is available. You may choose any capture sequence, not necessarily the longest.
Playing tips
- Reaching the far row crowns a king and ends the turn. Win by leaving the opponent with no pieces or no legal move.
