Battleship — How to play and useful tips
Deploy five ships and fire one shot at a time. Use hits, misses and sinking announcements to find the enemy fleet first.
Controls
- Place five ships of lengths 5, 4, 3, 3 and 2 on a 10×10 board. Ships are straight and horizontal or vertical. They may touch, but cannot overlap or leave the board.
- Choose match settings and review your draft. Select a ship, direction and starting cell, then press Place here. You may generate a new draft, remove one ship or clear all. Press Confirm fleet and start when all five are placed.
Playing tips
- Select a cell in enemy waters, check the coordinate and press Fire. Take one shot each turn, even after a hit. You cannot fire at the same cell twice.
Common questions
What makes this game different?
Draft placements, selected targets and shot history are saved. Resume manually after leaving. Resuming deployment never confirms your fleet or fires a shot automatically.
Can I resume later?
Your board is saved automatically in this browser.
